Bonding Bunnies Part Un

I was recently able to bond my two rabbits.  Two weeks ago to be exact.  It took 3 1/2 months to bond Tiny, my Lionhead mix to my new boy, Mr. Noodles, a pure Rex.  Now, it doesn't have to take 3 months to bond, but I wanted to take the extra time and effort because Tiny is a difficult, and let's be honest--bitch.  Mr. Noodles on the other hand is a chill bunny.  Perfect match.

I wanted to post what transpired for me and to help, even if it's just one person, have an easy, peasy bonding experience.  I did a lot of research by reading many blogs, tons of forums and too many rabbit/bunny websites to count.  Even with all of the information given, I still was able to learn a couple of things.

The main reason I wanted to bond Tiny was that I was ignorant to the fact that rabbits are not solitary creatures.  That is on me, as I got Tiny on a whim from my local animal shelter. That's my only regret with her.  I should've gotten two rabbits, or at least an already bonded pair.  I digress.

So, let's start off with some websites to help you on your way to happy bonding.  Here are the ones that helped me the most.

This website is excellent.  Join for free.  I even posted some questions relating to bonding and got some wonderful advice.

Never did join the website, but read tons of info.

This website is more for health issues, but I have read some good notes on some questions that were answered.

In my next entry, Bonding Bunnies Part Deux, I'll focus on the actual process.  And to tide you over until you read the next entry are some pictures of my furry babies.

My chillax Mr. Noodles and my bossy Tiny.
